WELL
ADZE-6
Adze-6
structural well was drilled in 1963/64, in the dome of Kuldiga high
(W.Latvia) discovered from the seismic data. This well was
instrumental in the discovery of a small oil accumulation in
mid-Cambrian sandstone (Deimena formation).
Oil
shows in cores have also been observed in the Ordovician limestone with
low permeability; a small oil flow was obtained from that limestone.
The
well was plugged and abandoned at the total depth 1,139 m in the
pre-Cambrian basement.
