(field) Seismic
Data
Within
the licence area, approximately 1,400 km of 2D CDP seismic have been
acquired in 1976*, 1978, 1984, 1987, 1989 and 1991. As result most of
the area has been covered by the 1x1 km (E23 prospect area) or 2x2 km seismic
grid.
Most important investigations in the licence area were conducted in 1987,
1989 and 1992.
The lines acquired in 1987 in the eastern part of the area were the
result of regional seismic investigations in the Baltic Sea based on an
order from Joint Organisation PETROBALTIC.
The 1989 lines were acquired based on an order from the former USSR
Ministry of Oil Industry with the grid 2x2 km. These operations resulted
in the identification of the E23 and E25 structures.
The 1991 lines were acquired with the purpose to delineate the structures,
with a denser grid - 1x1 km. The seismic was ordered by the Department
of Geology, Geodesy and Cartography of the Republic of Latvia.
All 2D CDP field operations were conducted by the
Kaliningrad Expedition of Research & Operations "MORINZHGEOLOGIYA".
